Sarajevo! A city or a living legend? There is not one person that hasn’t heard about Sarajevo at least once in their life, the place that used to send to the whole world the most beautiful and the saddest pictures and stories that civilization has recorded. The history of Sarajevo is something that can make many of the world’s largest cities jealous.
Sarajevo has been the meeting point between east and west for hundreds of years, the place where time seems to freeze. Sarajevo has been a symbol of hospitality for centuries. Many civilizations and Empires have passed through this city, each of them leaving traces behind that can be found all over. In just a few hundred meters in Sarajevo, Catholic and Orthodox churches, mosques and Jewish synagogues proudly stand side by side. Centuries have passed by and they still stand out, welcoming travellers. That is why Sarajevo is often called “Jerusalem of Europe”.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of magic moments that you can spend in Sarajevo. We kindly invite you to walk in to this world that will not leave you detached. But remember, once you come here, you will be coming back again and again.
