Bihac is one of the oldest and most important regional centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its roots go back to Illyrian and Roman times, but the town was mentioned for the first time in 1260 in the Charter of Hungaro-Croation king Bela IV. During its rich history Bihac has servived many civilizations and Empires.

Nowdays, Bihac is known as a green oasis settled on the banks of one of the most beautiful rivers in the region called Una. Bihac and its citizens are very proud of this amazing river and its slopes. Such beautiful nature was the perfect base for development of eco tourism. One of the most exiting ones is rafting down the amazing slopes of Una. Long tradition in rafting spor resulted in establishment of international event which is held in July every year and is called „Una Regata“. Visited each year by many toursits from around the world, Bihac' Una Regata has become one of the most important events in the whole of B&H.

Una and its beautiful landscapes have become a synonym for beauty and wildlife: a true sanctuary of peace, harmony and wildlife.

Located in the nortwest of the country, Bihac is the perfect place to stop over if you are travelling down to the Croatian coast or if you are traveling from Zagreb to Sarajevo.
